Concerning Elders
Christ’s intent was for His church to be lead by elders. Elders are to shepherd and lead His flock. The elder is to lead primarily through prayer and instructing in the Word (see Acts 6:4). Yet, all should be done with the understanding that the elder is an under-shepherd. Christ is the Chief Shepherd. As such, Christ determines how the under-shepherd is to lead.
