Jesus Suffered to Bring Us To God
Jesus suffered on the cross for a purpose. That purpose was that He might bring us to God. Ever since the garden of Eden, sin had made a separation between God and man. Jesus’ death effected reconciliation. Thus, access to God is now restored. Christians are to rejoice in the benefits of Jesus’ death such as deliverance from eternal suffering (hell) and the a place of eternal joy (heaven).
