Christ Covenant Church

Paul addresses the elders of the Ephesian church before he departs for Jerusalem.  He is unsure if he will see them again, so he speaks on matters of great importance.  On the top of his list is sound doctrine.  Paul is sure that it matters what you believe when it comes to matters of eternity.  Of greatest importance is repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.  Yet, Paul backed up what he said with a changed life.  In many ways, this spoke just as loud as his words.  In comparison with the greatness of God and matters of eternity, Paul counted his life as not valuable. To listen to this sermon, please click on the following link: Acts 20:1-24.

The book of Acts recounts the expansion of the church through the proclamation of the Good News.  The Gospel is preached and God saves souls.  The power of God converts the unbeliever through the Gospel proclamation.  The conversion of a soul results in a changed life: former ways of life are renounced along with the accompanied idolatry.  In its place is a holy fear of God and praise directed to His name.  To listen to this sermon, please click on the following link: Acts 19:1-20.
